Wildlife trx 1000 question

I was wondering if anyone has tried using a cb antenna using the bnc to pl-259 adapter for a omnidirectional antenna ? if so how does it work for you ?

It wouldn't work very well. CB is 27Mhz, The Wildlife is 151.. there is a ton of difference between the two.

I tryed the small antenna off a hand held c.b. once it didnt work very good.I have used the antenna from my am/fm radio with an adaptor on the last 4 vehicles I hunted out of and it worked great with my trx1000.Good luck Larry

Depending on what type of antenna it is you can cut it down to the right size and use it.

how would you figure out what size to cut it down too?
