I bought a couple of the tuff skin antennas, it came with a little zip tie to keep the antenna fastened on the collar since the length is alot longer than the stock. I realized the zip tie would not be a good long term solution so i used a piece of that heat shrink for electrical insulation. Just wondering what everyone else has tried/done and what your results were? I have not brought it outside yet, I just got the collar back from Garmin yesterday it is a new referb. Wil the insulation hurt my signal strength?

Hi Timothy.. we have used shrink sleeving for a cuppla years now and it works good..don't seem to have any antenna problems..those extended antennas drag the power from the batteries tho
