I've gone Years without replacing them. As with anything sometimes you just draw the short stick and get bad luck.

They have a 2 year warranty, I would just sent it back and they would have it or fixed or replaced it for free.

Tri-tronics will have you in the computor so you shouldn't need a reciept.

I bought a Classic 70 G3 EXP 6 dog collar system last year, it is less than a year old and I have had to replace two collars already. They did not honor the warranty, they charged me $75 for one, dog chewed on it, it wouldnt turn on. The other one wouldnt take a charge, they said was cracked, I did not see any cracks no where on it, I checked it over before I sent it in, but I had to pay $50 for it. I am not too happy with Tri-Tronics right now.

Wow! I had the total opposite experience with TriTronics. I had a system about 5yrs before it completely quite working. Sent it in w/o receipt. Four of the six collars had broke loops where the collar goes through.

It ended up being something wrong with the transmitter. They didn't have the replacement part for the G2 so they upgraded me to a G3 for free. They also replaced all collar batteries and housing on the broke ones. Walked out @ $218 with shipping. Felt pretty good considering I had a brand new system.

My experience was very similar with a classic 70 G2. I lost the transmitter and one collar quit working. I sent in the 3 remaining collars and got a whole new 4 dog EXP system for the cost of the transmitter. That was 4-5 years ago. I just bought a brand new G3 system because of their quality service.
