breaking scents

has anyone ever used scents to break a dog off deer with success

A long time ago I took a fresh deer hide and put breaking scent on it. I tormented my dogs with it and zapped them every time they went over to it and took a sniff. needless to say it did not work as good as just catching them in the act and frying them, or I would still be doing it today. that's just been my experiance with it, don't mean it wouldn't work for you.
