Looking for a lost breed

I was looking for a treeing walker breeder that might still be breeding off of lines going back to the "Clipper" bloodlines or "Pac-Man" bloodlines. I had a couple of hounds that was heavy clipper and pac-man breed back in the 90's that came from out west I believe, maybe wisconson. These was some a the grittiest walker breed dogs I have ever owned. They accounted for several bear kills. I joined the military and lost the lines, I have some very good walker hounds now but not with the same drive I once had. Any information would be helpful.

I've heard of Pac Man, but not Clipper. I've heard of a walker dog called Lipper. Lipper was out of House's breeding and they have produced some very good big game dogs.

I ran into a guy who was hunting near Dworshak Reservoir in North Idaho a few winters ago who had oarnge headed Walker dogs. He said the lines went heavily back to Carolina Clipper. They were very nice looking hounds and he spoke highly of them. Maybe someone on this site knows who I'm talking about. The man was approximately 50 years old and driving a Toyota (the Toyota part really narrows it down, I know).

Pac man and trac man are bothers or 1/2 bothers from what I understand they are out of one bitch dog that has produced 5 or 6 big name walker dogs, My brother has a bitch dog out of her and will find out more for you....he got a pup from her and Conager(spelling not right) what a bear dog ...makes me understand why you like them so much

IF I CAN REMEMBER CORRECTLY CLIPPER WAS A HOUSE'S BREED DOG ALSO, I BELIEVE A MATE OR LITTER MATE TO HOUSES LIPPER. CAROLINA CLIPPER WAS BRED FROM THE HOUSES CLIPPER. A COUPLE DOGS THAT I OWN ARE HEAVY BREED FROM THE LIPPER DOG. I JUST DONT BELIEVE THAT IT CARRIES THE SAME GRIT AS THE CLIPPER BREEDING. MAYBE ITS JUST ME OR MAYBE THE DOGS I HAD WAS JUST A GRITTY CROSS.

I just thought of it an that that this Cadiz Kt. hunter with PackMan line has an uncle or some relation in eastern Tn. /that other guy has the bear stock of the line while this Cadiz kt. hunter too him keeps the event coondog type . If for bear contack the eastern tn hunter/I believe he is a building contractor ? sorry no name ? but its a start for you.

I just sold a 14 month old male Walker yesterday that had Pac Man breeding in him. He was a nice little hound, big unique mouth. We have three dogs out of Conerager, he is heavy Clover bred, and two are good solid coondogs. I have never heard of Clipper, only the Lipper dogs which I have been told make good big game dogs.

The pac man direct offspring I owned 1 and he was terrably smart and crafty he was a get solo treed up right point hunt dog and was small an quick/ he sucked other dogs into false treed up an then hed hush up and go put the right tree on the coon. The 1 direct offspring of Leeper I seen on a point hunt out of Arrua ky was a monster of a 1 yr old pup/but he was me too in and right inthere with 3 other older pkc dogs that have been around the block and he stayed at the tree pretty muck though my black dog Mr.Latch seem too get solo under the tree/but allowed the pup too stay there. Jimmy Smith was frothen at the mouth on one tree an in the end they ran out the hunt clock and was hooked-up on a bear and I was tryen too slide down in there on the bay an walk of it but the cridderckept sliden off through these dry ditch trenches. I had them ware this old 56 yr old man plum out. I crawled up on a ridge and started hoopen callen the dogs. I hurd a hunters horn a few times and that good walker bitch with a males name (her name slips my mind now) she abruptly left and now it was just 3 dogs bayed up . Then the bayen moved uo the draw of the hollow my direction an the small wind blew the sent of bear walken bait pile smell and wild brush greese order at my face and he was getten pretty close so I too off and ran in too Jimmy and the other guy we drove back too were I`d last hurd em and they was treed up. My kegs was wore out it was summer and hot an dry and my thirst got me too drink warm botteled water/they went too the treeup and got a surprize
!! they called come on i sad no I cant walk and I allready know what they treed up/sound travels an i hurd jimmy say too the pup handler I`ll bet you wished you had a cammera?and he replyed YEA. So the one direct testtube offspring I seen of lipper was well on his way then too makein it ! The clover line is one fine real live coon up in the tree reproducen line of hound ~? they make pkc dogs, biggame hounds an do it alone or in company .many artical on em too.you hare worken within lines that reproduce likeness and i found all 3 lines too be all most as good as Hardwood Swamp oa Bozzo direct lineage... infact those 2 dogs appear in the other lines someweres i do believe/but its been awhile senceThere is alot of southern boys who know all the genorations of these lines real well and they hooked me up too em actually and expanded myown first hand learnen by doen so..

Are we talking Read's KY Clipper? I know of a female with him in her third. She also carries Lipper, and Kansas Dancer in a third. She is also Spring Creek and Charley Creek bred a little further back. Awesome coondog.

Ted Hagerman in West Virgina is still breeding pac man hounds. He had a son of pac man and boggy bottom bonnie named Hagermans Chance.

Chance has since passed on but he has his son he has studed out named Chance II if he is still alive. Ted likes the Lipper also and has made many crosses of pac man and lipper.

We bought two hounds form him back around 95 both were direct daughters to chance and both were very well balanced hounds. You should also try Russ Bellar in Peru Indiana, I know he is still running Pac Man blood.
