Hey everyone. I was wwondering what all of your opinions are on the changeable battter telemty colors, like marshall, annd the f and l smart colllor. Also what collar do you perfer, a standard batter or the changeble batterys

I have three of both and cant say anything bad about either kind. But I would rather be useing a garmin and dc-40's.

I have Johnson D's and Marshall's. Love the magnets for the marshalls dont have to leave it in the collar, just have one on the key chain and tap it on and off.

My Marshalls actually have a stronger signal than the johnson's and been have been real reliable. Not to mention the newer marshalls have changeable Freq, can add or remove tree switches, and have the down dog mode.

I bought two Marshall collars last year lots of power make shure atlest 25-30 digits off other collars bleeds over. I even found if they where in the truck I had to turn them off completely if I was looking for other dogs. Ran all season on 1 set of AA bats.

I have used both Johnson sealed battery collars and wildlife magnum convertable replaceable battery collars. I like them both. What I like better about the replaceable battery wildlife collars is that if i break an antenna or a battery dies, i'm not down a collar as long as i have batteries or antennas on hand. I can even change collar straps quick and easy if a puppy chews one off an older dog in the box (had that happen a time or two). Both have about the same intensity. I also like the under the collar strap magnet shut off wildlife replaceables have versus the dang bicycle tubes to hold the magnet on the back of the collar. I constantly loose magnets out of the johnsons. The wildlife collars actually last quite a while on the 3.6v battery. Had a dog get into some bad country the second weekend of Dec. one year, because of snow, no roads, no trails, and extremely rough terrain we couldn't get to her in time. After the snow melted, went out the first weekend of April and still had a signal on the collar and was able to locate the deceased dog. Keep in mind that the collars/battery is only rated for 72 continuous days. Have had good luck with them, but that doesn't mean there isn't better out there, thats for sure!

I'm liking the sounds of the marshalls magnetic swiping for turning collars on and off tho baiz!
