if i were to put my hound on a few trainers for bobs would i have to spray them down with bobcat scent or will the natural scent of the trainer be about the same as a bobcat? just something ive been thinking about doing sometime soon and would like to know a little more about it before i try it so i dont ruin my hound. thank you

I've used lots of trainers and to be honest, I've never worried about it but I'm sure it can't hurt either. Also feral cats are far and few between here where I live and few barn cats so I'm not worried about my dogs ending up in some guys barn on a his cat.

I have a friend who started his pup on trainers this past year, trainers is all he used, he didn't add scent. By the time the pup was 8 months old he looked like a veteran dog on a bobcat running the trainers. he took this same pup and treed 4 bobcats with him so far this winter all on bare ground so my friend coudn't see tracks just had to trust the pup. I use this same method with same results. I'm not saying trainers smell the same as bobs, but I for sure think that it help all my young dogs that ever made it AS CAT DOGS.
