Did garmin work out problems with dc-40?

If i purchased a new one today, would it still have notorious problems or did they figure everything out??

Real curious about this to, can't seem to find a straight answer any where.

I got 2 of 40's when they first came out. One of them worked pretty good and the other one not at all. I finally sent the bad one back to Garmin in july and was told that the 40's were on hold until they did some updates on them, and that mine would have the updates when they returned it. I got my collar back 3 weeks ago and it works but it is not as good as the 30,s yet. Im glad that i bought up 10 of the 30,s before they discontinued them. I hope this helps answer your question.
