Been waiting for soneone to start talking about draw tags since no one has I will. I only put two people in for the draw. My niece who has never hunted and an out of state hunter from N.J. Both drew out for the Paunaugunt looks like we will be spending some time hunting out of Kanab again this year.

Leroy,
I had one friend draw the blues so any day you dont have a hunter you are welcome we will probably try to avoid the snow and do it in the dirt! It will be chase everything you cross but only kill a 170+lb tom!

I'm not real familiar with other state's regulations, but here in Montana we can purchase a "hound handler's permit" which allows a fella to chase all season long, just not harvest. Is there a similar permit in other states as well? In my area we can purchase resident tags over the counter for $19. How many of you decide to just chase as opposed to having the oportunity to kill one? Personally, I just buy the chase permit so I don't have the temptation to spend $1500-$3500 on the spur of the moment when I catch a nice tom. It's real easy to set here and say I wouldn't shoot one until I'm looking at a nice cat in a tree. That way I know I can't pull the trigger.
Just wondering. Good luck to all.........
Scott

Nevada - we have a year round season, 2 lions per year, harvest objective. Have to have a license in posession to hunt or pursue, (or be with someone who has a tag). No other hound handler permit or anything of the sort.
