Jim, it shouldn't be too cold by then so a waterproof comfortable boot with around 600 gr. insulation would be my choice. Also gators are important to help keep the pants dry and snow out of your boots. We've had three snowfalls so far which is ahead of usual so there will be some deeper snow on the north faces. Here's an article that may help you with some questions and gear choices:

Good luck on your hunt.

depends on where in colorado, I would say nice hiking boots that will be good for high and low and a pair of gators if you get into the snow. Hard to predict the conditions here. You just never know

I will second the Kenetrek Boots. They are very comfortable and I'm going on my third season with them.

flip flops AKA as thongs you can shake the snow off your toes real easy by kicking and spreading your toes at the same time lol

i wear elk trackers by irish setter 200 grain in new mexico and in dirt conditions i wear prong horns by danner

I like either the Kennitec or Schnees Pack boot for late season hunting.

A good boot is worth every penny. Without good ones you will wish you stayed back at the truck. Also good to have wind stopping hat and jacket and even a scarf. If the wind picks up it can be quite miserable and wind with an already cold day can be just bitter. Never underestimate winter weather. You may start out in just a long sleeve shirt but by the end of the day or in a few hours you will be wearing every layer you brought
