u mean willis butolph? I think I read a book that said he was a famous hunter from utah back in the day. I think he hunted plotts which makes him okay in my book.

I have often wondered what happened to that line of dogs (any left)?

WILLIS BUTOLPH Was a goverment hunter from Wellington Utah. He was the real deal and a good man.

correct on the gov hunter from wellington. i have no first hand knowledge of the man but know two old boys with a few pics and hunting storys of the man. such as a trained bear that rode in the stock rack and a whole back yard of chained trainers

. seems that his recorded cat kills for the state of utah was over seven hundred, his final dogs were brandenberger type plotts but only for a short time. he started with eastern bred bnt dogs followed by walkers then bluetics both of which back grounds i am unsure of. i have seen and heard of him from two different sources and both sum up to him being a top notch houndsman
