question for the old farts

being an old ish fart myself i can say that 
question is about black and tans when i got my first blkntan coon hound of my very own [not my dads dogs ] i picked up a gosset bred gyp an old man i got her from used to run yotes with em said they was runnin bred and didn't know how they would tree [did allright but not great ] just wondering if anybody knew of em and if they still around .
