My first thought was. Now why the hell would anyone admit to that?! Then I thought maybe some of Buddys NEW forum topics might have finally attracted some business that's spilling over to the rest of the site. Glad good ol Google cleared that up.

Oh I wasn't pointing it at you lol it was the shorty getting packed around in case of bushpiles and holes. Seemed a bit odd to me too. But hey to each their own.

I have one. She does not have the grit of a Parsons. She is a great pet, probably better than the Parsons. She is a good blood trailer, and is fairly gamey. Parsons tend to be better hunters from what I have seen.

Lol well it sure didn't sound like a dog to me. I hunted a fox terrier for a lady for several years he was a real tuff little dog and would bail in on anything. Fast as hell to. Only non running dog I've ever seen that caught 90% of the rabbits he jumped. He got thumped by big jacks a few times but never gave up. He would slide into one latch hold close his eyes and start shaking til help arrived or he got the better of it. The thing I thought interesting was his canines were so long. Size per size the longest I've ever seen on any breed or individual dog. He would tree and bay. Wasn't supper hard on bear but if its attention was diverted he'd take a bite. But he was probably bigger then your looking at he was twenty five lbs. Good hunting

OMG 007,
Ya got me too
I read the title thinking, "I didn't know Shorty's last name was Russels," then I though "well, I think he was a bullrider, and those guys are generally on the small side..."
But from the posts I'ver read, I gather you're talking about JRT's. I had two, a long legged and a short legged. That little "shorty" was a circus freak! And boy, did he LOVE parties. We'd be getting drunk and that little turd would just run around doing stupid shit like a typical midjet in King Arthurs court..just a true jester!
My other JRT was "normal". She was a true companion. She'd only range about 20yds from me when hiking, so I started using her as a flusher for birds; never trashed on deer or elk we'd cross. I didn't know a hole in my head from a hole in my back-side about hound-hunting then, (much like now), so never had her on any smaller game. Hope this helps.
