Our group went out today. My buddy and I located 5 others and we waited for the rest of the group who was out and about trying to locate others. Dropped a few pups and had one up and jumped in no time. Came around in one little circle and a buddy shot 3 shots at it with the shotgun but didnt put it down. We then had a split chase and I shot one that just barbie and patches were on. Then another came around after about a 2 mile circle and my buddy hit it twice and it bayed up about 30 yards later in front of lady, blitz and dixie. Rest of the dogs showed up and they stretched it. 2 dogs down in less then 2 hours and another that has some bbs in him. Was a good day glad deer season is over.

Iv always wondered how you guys decide on who gets the game? Like when i read about huge hunting parties with a ton of hounds all after one bear does an argument ever break out on whos getting the game or is there an ethical way to determine that?

that is the same as our group. We usually bear hunt with around 7 or 8 guys. most of the time we have to ask who is taking a gun in. It seems to be more of a pain in the ass to carry the gun lol.

i have a question , i hunt hogs mostly have hunted coons alot too , but seems to me coyote hunters run alot more dogs on a coyote then any of the other animals why is that is a coyote race that long ? i have only ran coyotes with my stags an they dont run them to far , an i have ran some hogs 3 miles , with 2 dogs just wondering is it because there just usally a few people that go an every one wants there dog in the race ? just asking not trying to make any body mad or anything

As for the amount of dogs I guess every group is different. We usually start the coyote with 1 or 2 dogs, then after jumped try to get more dogs in especially a couple young ones to train. Last year we had a yote go over 30 miles as the crow flies. No telling how many miles he and the dogs actually put on.
