because having a tree switch in california would give the hunter an unfair advantage. WHAT A CROCK OF CRAP!

wish i knew the answer for ya but no clue why. i personally dont use them. have had them in years past and just got agitated with how sometimes when they turn up hill it goes off. so just started getting the ones with out and tried to stay within hearing distance. don't see what advantage it has or disadvantage either. just what ever you prefer.

Here in Ca. if I remember right back in the early 90's the Anti's were after F&G to try and shut Hounds down, F&G gave them the GPS collar (that weren't avaiable yet) and the treeing switch's to back them off.
