Cougar Skulls

For the folks in California:

My Sister-in-law is from CA and her uncle really admires cougars. He was up this way visiting and stopped by to get his pictures taken with the cougar rugs at my house. He follows all the cougar news across the country, it is safe to say he is a big fan of cougars. I don't know that he has ever hunted anything in his life but he loves cougars and expects them to be hunted. I like the guy because he is pro-hunting even though he doesn't seem to be much of a hunter.

I have some cougar skulls that were beetled and look real cool. They were legally taken in the state of WA and done by a licensed taxidermist. If I give him one can he take it home to CA?

Thanks,
George

I thought I had heard that too. CA sucks, but at least they have bear, fox, hog, coyote and bobcat hunting. We get racoons, and that is it for now.

So you mean to tell me out of all the trophy hunters in CA nobody has a legal Lion part in the state? Seems to me it would be like a legally taken wolf would just have to have a seal and what not. On a side note how would he ever get in trouble? And that means I couldnt come back from NV with a lion ether huh CA is the root of all evil.

I used to use a tanner in CA. for 20 years. I can't even send my lion hides to him, he can't accept them even to tan them and return them to me. Since most of my work these days is mounting lions, I had to find another tanner, and I liked the guy in CA.
