Anyone hunt out of or drive a Chevy Colorado.
If you do how do you like it

I had one and really liked it. I know a few other guys that hunt out of them. i would say they are as capable as a tacoma and more comfortable. mine was a single cab and traded out for more cab room. I would have another. 20-24 mpg out of the i-5

I am looking to downsize from a silverado to get the fuel mileage. I had heard some bad reports about durabilty and was looking for any opinions. Eveybody says your not a bearhunter unless you drive a toyota, but i dont want to be like every other bearhunter. just a quirk i quess.

I only had mine about a year so i don't know how it would hold up over time. I put it through the paces while i had it and seemed tough enough. I would make that move if i could get the right deal. How the hell does a toyota make you a bear hunter?

I dont know but if i've been told once ive been told a 1000 times "your not a real bearhunter unless you drive a toyota"

Sorry Dude, but a Chevy Colorado is NOT a bear hunters rig. They started making them in 2005 and NO real bear hunter is going to have a truck that is less than 15 years old. So any discussion on any vehicle built after 1993 is null and void.

I've got a chevy S-10 and they are NOT built for bear hunting. There is a reason that mine is dubbed the "Money Pit", cause I've replaced about every possible part on it. I do tend to put a few hard miles on it though. One with the ZR-2 suspension might be a little bit better, but I really doubt it.

From what I've seen the bare bones yotas are a better small truck. They take the abuse better.

the colorados are good trucks but i have seen some head durability problems. i do like nissans however. some advice i will give you if your longlegged is get an extended cab. nissans will hold up through the mill and they go like a tank.

First couple of years they were out they had a few problems,now all seems to be worked out.I bought a 07 last sept.No complaints here!!Its the extra cab.MPG averages about 21.Bear hunting it drops a little.Have gotten 23.7 on trips.

Toyota Tacoma is the way to go IMO

I got an 07 4door colorado (hunting and family rig). Does pretty well on fuel mileage. Haven't really tested it in ruff terrain yet! Its not fancy but has done the job so far

Only thing I don't like is the bed fills up quickly with all the hunting/dog stuff...hmm maybe I have too much stuff!
