trashing on armadillo

starting to get some dillo here in ks & one of my hounds has caught one she just let out a few bawls then started barking in his hole. now im worried aboute more problems. can anyone tell me if they are usually close to there holes or will the dogs ever run a long track on one of these little guys? the ones i have seen are close to there holes im just wanting to know what to watch for thanks.

They will travel away from the holes a good ways.

armadillos r thick here n okla and most dogs can't turn down the chase but i haven't ever had prob with my dogs trailin them its just usually a short quick chase and then it holes up and its over. if your dogs real gritty they'll usually end it before u can even scold them. i'd say a few corrections will solve everything.
