I have a not quite 2 year old been to the pen a few times and in the field quite a bit but she won't get more than 75 yards from me even with other dogs out and open. She will take a track but comes right back. Lookin for suggestions or help. Thanks

Sounds like it is time to cull.

I had a dog like that a while back my buddies heckled me when i kept bringing it out and it wouldnt go they said get rid of it I kept on trying and one day like turning on a switch it took off and never looked back turned out to be a good dog it was over a year and a half when it finally started dont know why it took so long I was close to giving up though have you tried putting it in pen with other dogs and then leaving pen so it can't follow you around.

Been in Kens pen half dozen times or so and she will hunt for an hour or so just fine but then its like she gets bored and turns into a lap dog. I hunted with a great houndsman last weekend and he said if we ever get snow just start walking her out on fresh tracks and she will figure it out. Thanks for the Input I knOw she has what it takes hell she comes from grand night champ stock and her mom is an amazing cold nosed jump dog so some of that had to get through to her. And believe me I have thought about culling but we have not had the snow to give me the time for training to give her a fair shot. I don't want to cull her if it's my fault she's not workin good.
