Theres a fun water race in northern idaho around bonners ferry. I think it usually in July but I'm not sure.

Water daze is usually held the first weekend of August at the Snow Creek campground just out of Bonners Ferry. Really fun event!

your laws do not allow non-residents to participate so the events are residents only. They just had a field trial down near Arco back in May.

Where in the law does it say non-residents can't participate in feild trials............we have people from oregon come over all the time.

I know of a couple guys from Canada that go with no issues.

I have never had any problems field trialing in Idaho. I gone the last 6 years in a row. I know lots of guys from B.C. and Alberta that attend Idaho trials without a problem.

Sorry for the confussion on my part but it does not suprise me since we can not get 2 wardens from the same office to give us the same answer. Maybe your game wardens in idaho falls need to be educated then on the law who claim we need a hound handlers permit to unleash our hounds.

If you are worried call fish and game and get name number of officer talked to and document conversation .
But To pursue game you need a hound permit nothing about field trials . If so you basicaly would not be able to transport dogs in the state if you went by some of the officers interpritation.
