Tri Tronics gets my vote also. You can buy the classic 70 exp or the field 70 exp , I believe those are the names of them, and it will allow you to add more collars to the system later. good luck

I would go with the tritronics classic 70 exp, then you can add more collars later. I had two older classic 70 2 dog sets and had been having problems with one of them and had sent it back and when it came back it still didn't work right. I was mad at tritronics so I bought the sportdog houndhunter and when I got it it didn't work either, so it was brand new and didn't work, my tritronics was 5 years old and didn't work. I ended up getting the tritronics fixed and sending the sportdog back, since then I have traded my old tritronics in for the new exp model and I really like it and haven't had any problems so far(had it about 9 months) Also the tritronics is cheaper and the new collars are really small and light.

The small size of the G2 recievers is nice, but It's the memoryless batteries (which other makers have as well) and the two hour recharge time (which other makers don't have) that means I'll be sellin or tradin in my old Tritronics unit on a G2 expandable trashbreaker. Get the longest range you can afford- you can never have enough range in real life situations and you don't want to be standing there with 500 dollars between whats in your hand and and on your dogs and not be able to reach out and touch em when you need to. My two cents. Paul Conway.

I don't know how much farther the trashbreakers shock than the classic models do, I know they advertise the classic at 1 mile and the trashbreaker at 2, but I have shocked dogs well over a mile with the classic, and several times have shocked dogs when they were out of my hearing and I had somebody with a radio closer to them that could tell me if I hit'em or not. I always figured if I could shock a dog farther than I could hear it that was good enough.

I picked up a new Tritronics trashbreaker G2, they're pretty nice as previously stated.
Yes, get a hold of Buddy on this site, he's great to deal with.
