So here in New Mexico the hunting conditions havent been that great to hunt this yr, or not in my part of the country that is. After a few snow skiffs we got in the past weeks my seach for (King Kong) was in full swing as i had be tracking this toad for a few yrs just could never cut him fresh to run or would take me and my pack into the most God awful country anyone would want to run in. So yr after yr this lion was always in mind wondering when i could find him fresh enough to run but yr after yr same story goes on no luck! Well after cutting this road behind my house everyday since december knowing this big boy crosses sometimes i was hoping i would cut his track crossing the road. I was pretty hopeful this morning as the snow was fresh and the morining was freezing cold, barley getting light i load up Princess, Dasiy and Dora in the truck and off we go. I live literally 2 mins from the mtns so i pumped to see i was the first one down this road the snow was perfect 100% snow cover and no one in the woods except for me and the pack. Down the road we go as the snow gets deeper and deeper as we are climbing in eleavation turns out as my luck would have it no lion and im stuck! Being that my family was out town and had no one to pull me out i call a good friend to come get me and after 2 hrs of digging and pulling my truck we get out and down the road we go. My pride and confidence down in this place i leave wondering if i would ever seen this lion that has eluded me for many yrs. So off me and my buddy go to the low country in hopes of finding a bober to run at the very least we get to the road and my phone rings and i was going to ignore the call but i just had to answer it and a neighbor of my tell me he found a lion in the road i had just cut! I tell him i just cut the road not even a hr ago and nothing had cross he insists that i go over in a hurry. So i turn my truck around and in hast i go back to the woods that won round one. As i get to my neighbors location he tells me that it is a huge track and as i hear those word my heart races to see this track hoping it is the lion i have been trying to hunt down for yrs. So i get to the track and it is my big boy![/size]
