Are there any over the counter meds that are strong enough to kill whipworm?

Panacur works great to get rid of whips, unfortunately, it doesn't PREVENT whips though. Anyone who has read up on whips will find that the eggs can last in the yard or kennel up to five years. I am currently trying to find a preventative as well. Good luck and let me know what you find! :-)

I use safeguard goat wormer from tractor supply. It's active ingredient is fembezanol same as panacure kills rounds hooks tapes and whips. It comes in a 125 ml bottle for 20 bucks . I give 1 cc for every 5 Pounds so a 50 pound dog gets 10 cc and I do this three days in a row. Just had a case of whips and it worked great. The thing with whips is they lay eggs and the wormer doesn't kill the eggs so you have yo repeat every thirty days for a few months to get rid of them. Hope this helps
