well, this is why we feed these pot lickers all year! the badlands boys, kenny jones, sparkles, drew, and I decided to go take south central Utah by storm. we had a goal of 3 lions when we left. we actually turned on 5 lions and caught 4 of them. one got away in some bad dry ground boulder patches. all of these were catch and relese. very promising for next year if the quota hunters will just leave them the hell alone. the highlight of the trip for me was my baby pups making 3 of the runs and one of them was treeing and trailing before the end.

Way to go! But did u really have to announce we had 4 lions left here in utah..... some clown will put a beep on your truck and start following you!!

shiz I never thought about that. despite the high number of females taken this year, I think over all it's been a good year for the cats. the poor conditions has saved quite a few of them. if it would just remain dry through the remainder of the harvest, next year would be exellent!

Great time it looks like. It is always good when the pups start to turn on.

nice. that makes it worth it when you can pick up a few lions instead of driving aimlessly. can only hope it dries back up over there before the weekend. or it'll be another year of overkill.

hmmmm and here we all keep reading about how theres no lions in utah? looks like one of your dogs lost its collar and it fell onto the lion. That would be bad A to have a tracking box for those collars. Great job Though.
