Spanky, I am from Vernal Ut. I have hunted lion, bear and bobcats for about 15 years now, I hunt a strain of red and white and black and white english dogs I have had for years. I took one of my red and white femals and bred to Dennis Ingrams Ike dog for her first litter and then to his ryan dog for her second litter, the one out of ike is coming 2 and the one out of ryan is a yearling and they both are making super good hounds. I have.
6yr old blk & white english female (lucky)
4yr old red & white english female (echo)
4yr old red & white english female (skittles) my wife named that one.
2yr old red male out of Ike & echo (rucus)
1yr3month old blk & white english male out of Echo and ryan (pistol)
1yr old blue english male (sky)
5month old plott out of Greg Andersons dogs (loco)
& I raised a litter out of echo that is three months old now, but there was only 2 pups that lived out of the litter, I got one and a buddy of mine got one.
The 4 older dogs I have will rig lion, bear & bobcats real hard off the box and go to them prety consistant. Just a few thing I love most about this strain of dogs I raise is you can send them on hard bear runs day after day but if I want to run a lion in the dirt 7 days into your bear hunt they will slow down and rub the skin off there noses trying to catch the lion, they are super gritty dogs and way tough footed. I am realy happy after all these years of hunting to finaly build a strain of dogs the last 7 years that work perfect for me. The yearlings are going and working awsome with the old dogs as well.
I hope all of you on here have a SUPER bear season and GOD BLESS..
