I just got off the phone with a very nice, knowledgeable Houndsman from the Northwest! He is one of the many people who while they are members of BGH very seldom Post, therefore the rest of us never get a chance to KNOW him/them!

Now if you are new to Hound Hunting or Bobcat Hunting in particular, then…WOW… are you in LUCK. Never, since Ole Adam left to get Mrs. Eve a Cat Skin to replace that Fig leaf has there been an opportunity like this to learn the DIFFERENT Ways to SKIN A BOBCAT in the many diverse environments’ where it lives!

Please find a Topic that interests you and add your thoughts to the discussion, if something seems strange ask (the only really dumb question is the one not asked) about it. NO ONE will attempt to belittle or demean you!

If there is something or someone where you may have a Beef (real or imagined), go to the appropriate venue (the Cage or the Coffee Shop) to vent!

Now if you are a Visitor WELCOME. But remember that we are like a Big Family here…..while most are big cuddly fuzz balls, some of us have our WARTS, and some can be Prickly, but it is well worth taking a minute to register and Join in!

But PLEASE participate with us here in the Bobcat section by sharing your stories, tales of woe, Hound antic dotes, and other adventures. That way we get to know the folks who share our Campfire.

Excellent post I'm guilty only posted once or twice and enjoy reading about all your faithful contributors. Next year plan on getting into bobcats a lot more enjoy hunting with dogs more than anything with a passion for lions. Have chased a few bobs but next year when not comitted to a lion hunt am going to see if the old lion dogs can smoke there little cousins. Hunt southern Utah and northern Arizona and had a good year like the other seventeen I've been chasing hounds.

I am very much a green horn when it comes to bobbers. This past season is the first one that I have gone out of my way to try and find some cats. It didn't seem to work out too well for me with the lack of snow and then when the snow fell it melted off very quick. I have been running some drags for my ol guys with some cronks bob scent and they seem to do ok but it just isn't the same in finding some good tracks and walking them out. It also doesn't help now that all of our seasons are out on national forest. I have really enjoyed reading the posts of the bobcat section, no offense to the other sections but it seems like there is alot more knowledge and years of experience built up on these posts. I have read ALOT of good helpful information on this section. Keep it coming guys and keep your dogs in the woods.

Remember there are no right or wrong questions or answers here. These are all theories or ideas. What works for one person may not work for you. We are all different. Our dogs are all different. We are just posting what works for us. Read what everyone says. Try it. If that doesn't work for your personality then try someone else's theory. We are all gonna be wrong at times.

I am one of the guilty, read, learn, look at pictures and very seldom post. I will try to start posting more.(deer and skunk dog section) now there is something I know about I do owe this forum quite a bit, not only about cathunting. I have made some life long friends here. will try to do better at least I can get some cussing practice in trying to type.
