Fellow hunters when it rains it pours! Senator Corbett has introduced SB1480. This bill will cause alot of changes to California's already strict trapping regulations. If you aren't a trapper dont think this bill wont have an effect on you. Hound hunters are fur harvesters and in California you have to have a California Trapper's License to sell your California harvested furs. California Trappers have always been allies with hound hunter's and they need our help. This senate bill is just another attack on our California rights and the rope is just getting tighter on our Heritage and Freedom. Here is a link to SB (1480) for your review.

The only thing I see diffirent is Animal damage people are going to have their own class 2 license. And the list of prohibited dispatch methods that most people dont use, except drowning skunks so they dont spray.

Yes Tom you are missing something. Why let them take anything away from the Trappers or Houndsmen in this state. I only trap for fun I dont do any ADC work but thats not the point we need to fight to keep all of our rights or they will take them little by little till we can no longer Hunt, Fish or Trap in this state at all. This law is BS and just more acts by the antis to take away our rights.

Yes you are right on that. I got writers cramp, brain cramp ect. From defending commissioner Richards. Now SB 1221 SB 1480.
They took my legholds, my gold dredge, travel managment on our National Forests.

This is the worst written bill its so full of contridicting laws. Ya I'm against the bill, but legholds are allready illegal. If you cant make a head or neck catch with a coni you shouldn't be trapping.

This bill was written to regulate the animal damage guys. Im not opposed to a seperate license for "Billy the Exterminator". I see things are still the same at CTA since I steped down from office. A website and a news letter more than a few times a year would be nice.

The author of SB 1480 was written by Senator Corbett. She was the senator that was going to introduce a senate bill to ban the use of ATV's while hunting in California because she was lead to believe that Commissioner Richards used an ATV to run down his mountain lion he harvested.

Oh my lord. I am surrounded by idiots in office. It feels like my brain is going to explode with all of the craziness going on.

this sorta reminds me of when they were trying to up the bear quota last year and a lot of hunters opposed the idea saying that if the quota was upped the anti's were sure to propose a bill to end all hound hunting. Well raising the quota quietly got brushed aside and where are we now, Looking right in the face of 1221. Hunters can be fools at times.

I say take anything you can get and never give an inch. Never let your hunting right as medial as they seem go to the wayside because it is the start to having no hunting rights at all.
