Has any one thought of mounting a garmin gps on a johnson tracking collar. I am thinking about doing it, I think it will work the antennas are on opposite sides and there will be more weight on the bottom. The gps will fit right next to the tellementy. I am just trying to make more room on the neck of my dogs. Two tracking collars and a shock collar. How many of you guys just run the garmin. I run both just to be safe. Thanks Matt

I tried it, it may work with a dc-40 but not a 30 you run out of collar space the electronics part of the johnson takes up too much space, the wire between gps aerial and main part of the garmin needs to run past it & I couldnt come up with a way to make it secure. I think youd be better fitting your shock collar to one of them IMO

I attached my telemetry to my shock collars and left the GPS as a stand alone

Guys look up West Coast Telemetry, they have telemetry units you can slip on a tri tronics or garmin collar.
