Cat question

Hi everyone,I have some questions about a lion I have been chasing.I believe it is a female because of the track.I've turned out about 7 times on this cat in the last 6 weeks, every time ends up the same.I run her into some extremely large rock outcroppings.I've heard that if a female has young kittens she will usually go to where her kittens are if u chase her.most of the chases are in the dirt.it seems like she's hunting a small area from how much sign I've seen from her in a few canyons.I thought about starting after dark right where I keep losing her in the rocks........any ideas? She's making me feel like I really suck at this game,I just wanna see her. :D

My guess is you have a coyotee spooky young female maybe even a big sub. She has some cuts and even holes or cracks in those rockpiles that she gets in to avoid danger, and she may have even spent a lot of time there as a kitten. I have lost a lot of them in similar stuff and crawled around where i could and a few times got lucky and almost got my hat slapped off when peering into cracks and holes in places dogs can't get to.

We had one female over here a few years back and she would line out for one of these honeycomb rock areas when she got jumped and man she would fly into that maize. Bad thing was there were some tunnel like washouts in this stuff and in places it would drop off 8-10 feet. No problem for a lion which can jump from a standing start very high but if a hound got down in there and you were not real close you could lose them. I had a freind that got after her and lost 2 hounds in there and as far as i know they are still in there.

Thanks for the info.I'm still getting after it,hopefully one day I will see the cat that keeps giving me the sneak.oh ya thanks for letting me know what you thought about Jeff Allen and his dogs. The 4 I bought off him are more than what I expected.I do have a question,I just noticed yesterday that the canine teeth on one of them are filed down flat on the ends.do you know what the reason is for that?

Dog could of broke the tooth for a number of reasons, and it had sharp edges.

dillon, i believe you are saying both teeth corect? and does the dog try to chew the tree like a chainsaw? if so and the dog was ever used to run pups with, it may have not barked at the tree much or at all due to constant trying to chew the tree down. there for if pups hadn't learned to tree and the pup trainer wasn't treeing enough for anyone to be able to find the tree. someone may have done some dental filing, as it will make them sore when they chew there for they will do more tree barking. have seen this a few tmes and it DOES WORK. unlike what others will tell you that they can cure chewing and tree fighting by bumping them with tri tronics. that just will teach them not to do these things when you are present or close by. take care!

She is my best tree dog,she just barks and won't leave it at all, unlike a couple of my younger dogs.she doesn't bite the tree at all.it is all four canine teeth.I guess I could call Jeff Allen and ask him.thanks for your message.
