Lion Kills Gold Mine worker in Brazil

A worker at a Gold Mine in Brazil has recently been killed by a lion...I spoke to a fella this morning and he has been called to take hounds down in hopes of catching it....they have tried unsccessfully to kill it and there are no hounds there capable of the job anyway.
I wonder if California Senate realizes in a case where another person gets killed in that state and there is no one close with hounds capable of catching the lion because regulation has made it so difficult and no one owns hounds what they plan on doing "WHEN" it happens.

My past experience dealing with problem lions in some cases not all... ( if your not on site within a short time your chances of successfully catching the "right' lion decrease ), in some cases by a large percentage.
One lion I was called on did a walk about of 14 miles over night..the only way we got that lion was it had a collar and was seen crossing a highway......it was luck.
When the state has a lion issue and they have to call someone from out of stste it'll make things alot more interesting..

Unfortunately they already have houndsmen on payroll and will continue to use them regardless of how their laws go as it really is the most accurate method of predation control

I knew that....we have the same up here, if I don't do it for them under contract they'll find someone that will.
It's finally got to the point here where a grizzly gets three strikes and he's out, not so long ago that was not the case.
Lions....they just kill them now, we did at one time relocte most of them.
There was money and man power at one time to relocte them but they finally figured out it does not work and it creates a problem in the area they move them too.
Govt. sees no common sence in having a sport season to keep problem bear or lion issues in check.. ( POLITICS over rule that from happening) so they kill them and dig a hole if the freezer is full....
