Nevada you can purchase a tag over the counter. tag plus license cost around 240. not sure about guides but I'm sure someoneelse does.

What kind of lion hunt do you want to do? do you want a run em down in the snow shoot em quick and get done hunt? or do you want to work hard for your lion being out there in camp every day and pounding the miles one horseback to get a strike and then go on and take yer chances? These are all lion hunts and paying clients have their choice. You may be well advised if you are not up to the second option to take the first. JMO! ML

Yes that is a very good article and advice. the biggest thing for me is to be in shape. if you are not in shape you will not enjoy the hunt near as much. dealing with cramps is no fun on the side of a mountain.

I agree, playing all kinds of sports, track and field, football and wrestling all four years of high school got me into pretty good shape, so i thought as I wen't into the tree to take my first bear, my calfs were cramping on the way in. Can't even explain the pack out. But that article was awesome, i'd love to go on a dry ground hunt of horses one day that'd be sweet.

That was well written article alright, i'll add another thought.
When you are getting your photo taken with the cat , have the dogs put in there with you
Remember their names and have a big framed photo put near your mounted cat to remind you of the hounds that made your dream come true, along with the guy whose countless hours of training , feeding , cleaning kennels and hunting those hounds also made it possible
