Does anyone know who makes the best live traps for bobcat. Im in grand junction Colorado and would like to find someone in co or ut to pick up 10-15 traps. Also what makes other guys live traps better and what makes em catch more cats than a regular live trap bought at a farm store. Thanks

The way the trigger works is real important for bob traps. Most of the good ones have a similar trigger and the plate they step on is solid and trips with no warning ( dosn't bend)
I built my own after buying one good one and one worthless one. I'll try to get you a picture tomorrow.

CB, are you a member of the CTA? If so, there is a guy that comes out to our fur auction every year that sells very nice traps. You can order them ahead of time and he will bring them out to the auction and save you some shipping.

Heres a couple pics. This trap folds down and is 14"wide,20"tall and 36 long. They can be a bit smaller.
The door has washers and a spring latch to keep it shut. The bars in the door keep the cat working it instead of the trap wire. Theres a bait door in the back thats real handy.
Trap should be brushed in and staked down when set.

I don't remember the exact amout per trap. We built ten and it sticks in my mind that it was about half what the one was we bought. I think the one I bought was 125.00 with the live bait box. ( I wanted to see what the bait box looked like, never have tried it and most likely won't)
