I suppose those of you that use Bark Limiter collars are all in the same boat as the rest of us.
Seems I am continuously taking them apart and cleaning contacts and so on so I can keep them going.
The seals seem good but I just can't keep em going consistantly.
Any body have any pointers?
Some form of cleaning agent or primer..........?

Eric.
I would be curious to know what brand you use? I keep a tri-tronics strapped to the kennel outside in the weather 24/7/365 and only need to change the cr2- 3v lithium battery around three times per year, it goes into sleeper mode and is adjustable, always there if and when needed....I have owned many tri-tronics over the years and have had none fail. But quick to state, I have tried every other manufacturer and had 100% failure from all others.
I tried and find only tri-tronics products rule both bark limiter and remote training to my demands for use.

I use the Tri-tronics too as do my buds.

Thanks

I'm with Mike (and apparently the rest of you). I've wasted a lot of money on all the other bark collars, and hated every single one. I've never had problems with the contacts shorting out, but did realize that when dogs were barking through them, it was because they were too loose. They still seem to shock pretty good even when they're dirty. We have two dogs that will swell out their necks when we collar them, so they seem too tight, but then relax and they're dangling. Just a thought and possible solution!
