I want all my houndsmen buddies here Montana to really watch come 12/15/12, wolf trapping starts here in Montana, watch your hounds. Make the wolf trappers aware when you see them that we as houndsmen are in the woods also. We don't need one of our hounds caught in one of those traps.

If trappers don't use larger than no. 4s which the fwp recommends they won't hurt our hounds maybe be lame for a couple days I worry a lot more about connibers used for bobcats and martins. Trappers trapping wolves will be a great benifit for us hound guys even if we get a few hounds sore footed every once in a while.

A # 4 won't do much good for catching wolves just educate the ones that get away. a real wolf trap will put a good hurting on hound. I am glad i am the only one trapping where i do most of my hunting, not so much to worry about.
