Does anyone have any suggestions on how to live trap one of these critters? I need to get one soon.

Well they eat bark and small twigs mostly, always see them up in cotton wood trees along the river. I did hear they like salt alot for some reason and like to chew up used axe handles attacted to the salt in sweat. So you might try soaking some cotton wood limbs in salt water for bait and you could locate one up a tree then set trap below the tree, maybe it would come down and try a bite. Just an idea never tried to trap one before.

All you need is a broom and a trash can. Just go out just after dark and drive the areas where you know some live and watch the barrow ditches.
When you see one jump out with the broom and trash can and herd the little bugger into it. No bait, no cheking traps, no problem. It does work best with the buddy system........

Lol I was going to suggest something like that... but I didn't want to get blamed if something went wrong!

They are sorta slow and that would work if your not to clumsy...

I know it sounds funny but I used to catch them that way when I was younger for some races they used to have in my home town.
