Rude Awakening

Last night while I was dead to the world, I was awakened by the ringing of a telephone...it was 1:21 AM. The voice on the other end was one I recognized as a Menard County Deputy...normally not good news. "Are you missing a hound?" I replied that I was not.
"Well I have a blue hound that has a big white cat treed in Mike Brown's yard and he has your name on the collar". I thought for a few minutes and remembered that Dan who was supposed to be in Brandon Burch's kennel had my collar on him.
"I know the dog, I will be right there," I responded. To make a long story short, Dan spend the night in the dog box on my pickup and no longer terrorizing the cats of Menard.
