Anyone know of anyone in New Mexico that runs weems breed plotts. I ran into some( North Caolina or South Carolina) houndsmen a few years back here in northern New Mexico that were running some weems bred plotts. They were catching plenty of game with these dogs and was interested in trying to locate some pups out of this breed. Any info would be appreciated.

Mike dogs are part Weems and bred on too Poccahaunnas stuff of Eugine Walker Poccahaunnas Plot Kennels in w.va. I know Mike crossed on too the Corbarra dogs with his female Weems line and incoruperated it into his own line so its pretty tight . Should make ya some real bear & lion dogs and coon dogs for sure/ ruff an tumble and a mile of hart from what littile I do know of Mikes dogs .Mike runs coon with all his dogs and has pups for sale and goen pups in the woods. Don`t know how many though and I know that was back in 04 so now maybe not the same/ I know he took a 2 yr old too the National Plott Hound Coon hunting Events that yr and made em all look silly/ wastold me by a high up in the ranks PKC club that Mikes Rock dog was way too advanced for anything anyone else brought and hunterd ! I seen a couple of Mikes let out pups in Big Rock Tn were I lived and they was sure big game hounds looken and that owners name is also Mike and he drove back hunted with Mike Wright and swares by him and his line !That might be like goen too the well buddie I`d consider it, he can be located through UKC & PKC stud files I`m sure .

I do not live in NM but I spend about 5 months in NM and CO every year and i hunt weems bred plotts. I hunt with Dale Burnside from WV, who was good friends with Mr. Weems and who also got Mr Weems last dogs before he went into a nursing home. Dale still breeds these dogs and has some top bear dogs. Give me a call and i may be able to get you a pup or two, Dale has a litter on the ground right now. I will be out in August and may be able to deliver them to you. My # is (740)438 7695.
