A GOOD TRADE....TRUE STORY....

Thought I would share this with you....
About 20 years ago when I was first getting into the hound dog thing, I had an old wore out plywood dog box that someone had given me. The value on this hunk of junk was maybe $5 to $10 dollars. I had a guy stop by one day and as we were bull shitting the afternoon away, he asked me if I wanted to get rid of this dog box. A normal fellow would have given it to him instantly but I am a trader so I asked him what he had to trade? He said he had a young walker female that didnt know much he would give me for the box. We made the trade and went on about our business.
A day or two later I was hunting with another guy, as we were riding along on our mules he asked me about this walker female. I told him the story on her and if he really liked her I would trade her for the mule he was riding (I knew he didnt really like the mule) After a few questions about the dog and the mule, we made the trade.
The following week I was hunting with a good friend of mine and I was riding this mule and he was riding a nice roan mare. I really liked this mare and he really liked my mule so you guessed it......we made the trade. When we got back to the truck, I loaded the mare he loaded the mule and we headed home. I pulled into my house and was unloading the dogs and the mare when my neighbor came over the visit. As we talked, he mentioned to me that he wanted me to keep my eyes open for a good horse as he was in the market. I told him that the mare tied right over there was for sale. After a few questions about her, he ran home and got me $2500 and he took her home!!
Now thats how you turn a ten dollar dog box into $2500 cash!!!!
