Hey Guys,

I am going to take her to the vet in the morning but wanted to hear what you guys have to say. The last few day, my female walker has been shaking her headback and forth a lot. I am sure there is something in her ear or ears. My wife and I have looked and see nothing wrong so it may be deep. She is healthy and hunting and playing. She just seems like something is really bothing her ears and she seems very annoyed by it. Like I said, she is going to the vet jsut wanted to hear if you ahve ran into this. Thanks

My wife is a vet tech and she says you are hoping for a grass seed way down deep and don't try to get it out yourself as you will likely damage something with out the proper tools and sedation. the other option is ear mites, common with hounds, regular cleaning is the best prevention, usually takes vet care to remove them, if left alone they will cause deafness. good luck

Could just be ear mites. If it is there will be a dark, waxy coating in the ear canal .It's easy to cure

I have for past years used Blood Worth/s ear wash about three times a year as a preventive maintenance to keep the ears clean and stop ear mite problems. Just ordered some, anyone in this area interested in a bottle contact me. I order more than I need , it/s cheaper that way. It cost 15.00 a bottle, but buying more bottles brings the price to about 12. 00 a bottle. Al

Hey Everyone,
Thanks for the responses and IMs. I appreciate it. I just got back from the vet and she has a yeast infection in one of her ears. She will be fine. Thanks again

Yeast infection very common in hounds with those floppy ears, easy to cure or prevent with Bloodworth/s. 15.00 A BOTTLLE POSTAGED PAID, IN MY EXPERIENCE. Al
