Just joined up and look forward to searching through the many posts.

I came across this pic on an Aussie site and it was suggested I post it here to see if anyone can give an indication as to the breed of dog. He is a magnificent hound.

Since all i can go on are his looks,i have to say Black and Tan coonhound but there are other possibilities.

Is this a blood dog from Texas? If so they are mixed hounds with some blood hound in them. I am good friends with a guy who's dad got them many years ago from Huntsville correction facility that were used for man tracking and he uses them to track wounded game. They are also good for coon. JTG
