wondering what I have to do to be able to run a lion in Wyoming. my brother in-law wants me to come and run a lion for him in Wyoming. He has a tag, but I was wondering if It is anything like Montana where I have to have a hound training permit or a tag myself to be able to run it for him as a non-res. thanks

would like to hear from you if you can help. not going to make it a habit, just want to help a good guy get a lion for less than it would cost him if he came here.. And not into breaking any laws, so want to do it right.

I took two guys i work with last year, they had the res tag and I had the dogs. I'm from Utah I talked to a few different game wardens and they said as long as I keep the hunters with me at all times its all good. That is all I did...

As long as he's tagged and you take no compensation of any kind you should be good. And like silent night you must keep the hunter with you, especially if you put dogs on the ground.

When I asked, I was told that the tag holder had to be the only one carrying a weapon. Other than that, It was OK to handle the dogs for the hunter as long as there was no exchange of any form of compensation...

Never done it so take it for what it's worth.....
