Me toooo David! Elk huntin tomorrow, grandson has a pretty tuff tag. Then out to dads to torment the deer. Then it's time to try and let the dogs try and teach me a little more about this dog running stuff. Hope they have the patience.

My dogs treed a lion that had a bear den in rocks at base of tree. They would tree on the lion then bay at the bear in the den. Kept going back and forth from lion to bear.

I think a dog got scratched on the final cast of the ukc world hunt this year for treeing off game . When the tree was shined only a possum was seen. When the cast was leaving the tree they looked back and seen a coon , but it was too late the ten minute shine time was up.

I treed a coon once in a big cottonwood, and a porky come out of a brush pile at its base. The dogs did their best to work it over, but it wasn't a pretty site!

One night we had holed a cat in a river bank and as we worked our way down to were they were baying, we got about ten feet from them and a big hog grunted and almost ran over me. Scared the crap out of me! LOL The dogs never paid any attention to him and just kept baying in the hole. Guess the hog was bedded down right there and because the dogs were not messing with him he just hung tight till I almost stepped on him!
