They consider those Campaign Contributions. Anyone with a brain knows it’s nothing more than a bought vote. California laws are quickly becoming so strict and authoritarian that it is only a few years and laws away from living in a state where Material Law is a normal way of living. Just look at all the gun laws that were just signed by Moonbeam. The only reason he didn’t sign Steinberg’s bill is because he is trying to renew his spot as California Dictator and tried to save a little face.

Is this money that HSUS donated? I'm not a supporter of his in any way but I believe Chesbro voted against 1221.

Yes, HSUS gave every member of the Senate and Assembly that voted in their favor for SB1221 a so called Campaign Contribution. You are correct Chesbro did vote against 1221. I'm not sure why he got funds from HSUS. Maybe Dale can answer that.
