Young dog stays too close

Wondering what some of you do to break a young dog of hanging too close to you? I have a 10 month old black and tan that has the drive to hunt and tears a skin up, but is reluctant to get too far from me...even when my other dog is out running a track. I think she just needs to see live game on the run, but am curious as to other things people have had success with?? Thanks

I'm curious to know why you think she has a high drive? It has been my experience that either someone has hollered or juiced her every time she gets out of sight, or maybe been shocked way to young which put up a imaginary fence at a certain distance, or her confidence is not at the level it needs to be to put her in the woods yet. Also, sometimes certain breeds or crosses take longer to come around. Good luck!
