For the guys that hog hunt with hounds, how many dogs do you generally use?

Man, there are about as many answers to that as there are people that dog hogs, it is a matter of personal preference. In a perfect world, I like to run 3, one finished dog, one well started dog and one pretty young dog. In the real world I generally run 4, and sometimes as many as 5.

2 hounds and a catch dog unless I have a young dog. When hunting with others we may have as many as 6 hounds on the ground. When hunting as a group, I hunt the hounds that will catch and the others have hounds that bay- once the bay dogs see mine catch they join in.
