Anybody else read "The Last of the Plainsmen by Zane Grey"? Last five or six chapters is vintage cat hunting with dogs around the Grand Canyon. Awesome read ( or listen, as I technically did the audio book)

another interesting book is "the hounds of slash ranch" good reading and great old pics. The interesting thing about the book is that no two hounds look the same. Where would I find "the last of the plainsmen" ??????????

Check Abeooks.com, they have a fair amount of good priced books. If you like Slash Ranch Hounds, if you haven't already, try
HUNTING GRIZZLYS, BLACK BEAR AND LIONS "BIG-TIME" ON THE OLD RANCHES.,
That's a good one too.

Good spot for Zane gray books if you are interested is librivox.com or the app if you like audio books. Hunting the grissly if a Theodore Roosevelt book right? That is a good one. And I would have to say that I have never tried but that I will bet a roped cat is an exciting event

Looks like ,i'll be adding a few more books to my collection, I did a lot of reading on my trip to the US in 2012, It was great to look at the country during the day and read about the history at night
