Is there a Catnina Islands, or is that a typo of Catalina Islands. If it is Catalina Islands, I thought Stan Escovar was supposed to have exterminated them ?

Catalina is one of several islands in the Channel Islands chain. It does still have hogs left; the outfit from New Zealand hired by the Nature Conservancy and Park Service hasn't cleaned them out there like they have on Santa Rosa and others.

Use to fish on a party boat out of Oxnard every Sat. was a deck hand that went to the island every week end for hogs, yes I mis spelled it . that was in the middle 60's. That Burnt Ranch was a long way to walk, I liked Somes Bar to fish and the Hopi Rev. you could fish and bear hunt the same day. heard that stopped all fishing[salmon-steelhead] on the west coast and all rivers. In the 60's and 70's Calif was a wonderful place to live. but now it has gone to hell in a hand basket.
Does Eastwood still have that Ranch over your way?
