Garmin Dc 50
I have a 50 collar that looses gps signal a lot . Yesterday I linked the collars up with the 320 before I left the house . Drove 25 miles got out and free casted the dogs they hit a bear and the chase was on . Any how they ran for around 4 hours before we caught them off . Once I turned loose I never had the 50 collar not one time , never had no gps signal ever . The last place I had the collar was 4 miles away before I got to our hunting spot . This collar has done this twice before both times I had to reset it . Any ideas

Re: Garmin Dc 50
I had this same problem with a couple of my DC 50's. New out of the box they would lose signal with the dog in sight, less than 100 yards. Then pick back up and lose again. I updated them and have had no more trouble. I can only assume they had been sitting on the dealer's shelf quite a while and were manufactured before the latest updates were available. If updating does not/has not fixed your problem then it is likely a loose gps or vhf antenna connection. Otherwise there are a lot of folks on here with more expertise than me, but, if someone does not chime in soon with another idea then call Garmin. I have called them several times and they have been very helpful.
