who knows who breeds that line and where are they located just want to know used to have a good line but dont know where to find them

Dee Demoss of Washington state started the Cascade line in the 1960's and continued till the late 1970's or early 1980's. I believe a fellow in Virginia by the name of Charles Montgomery still has many dogs that go back to this line of dogs. Many dogs that are around go back to Cascade Big Timber. I know Joe Polly of Michigan has dogs that all go back to Weems Cascade Smokey but they are not out of dogs that exclusively go back to the Cascade line.

If my memory serves me, Oliver Smith bought out the last of the cascade dogs from demoss and hunted them through the mid eighties. The most knowledgable person about cascade dogs that i know of is Bob Giese, who hunted all those dogs for Oliver. To my knowledge, there are no 'pure' cascade dogs left. I'm sure you could find some heavy cascade but there will be a lot of outcrosses.

hey i have been looking for that blood line for a couple of years. i have only found 1 guy that had two pups for sale. he only wanted $75 each. i didnt have the money at the time to get the pups out here to ca. i still kick my self for not buying them. i think the guy that had them lived in virgina. but havent run across that line since then.

Hey Ryan Timber goes back to Cascades Blondie, the only litter she ever had before Gene lost here in Onterio. She was crossed with a dog named Idaho Clyde, and Gene can go on all day about Clyde, but he thought alot of that Blondie dog, He'll still tell ya, besides Clyde, Blondie was his favorite dog he has ever had. I sent him a picture of Timber treed, here a few days ago, and the first words out of his mouth were " He looks like Blondie". His Grandsire is "PR" White Hollows Little JR, who is a grand son to Cascades Blondie, and he goes bact to Cascades Smoke. White Hollow bred dogs go back to the Cascade lines, Gene and Doyle DeMoss traded dogs back and forth, I think, I dont know for sure but I think alot of them Crockett bred dogs do to, I know alot of the Weems dogs do. Thats what mine are , mostly weems and white hollow

well that helps me out alot to try and get it going again someday thanks chuck i appreciate the help well i talked to the old lady she said its fine but i will be gone well you know that she had a ? about if i got a bulldog pup and a rat terrier pup from you 1500 that if you brought them down here my kennel set up is nice as ever now not concrete but sand and do you still have that box for sale if so let me know thanks again ya have a goodin

Had a male out of Big Timber, wasn't worth a damn.

I dont have any direct dogs from that Cascade line of dogs, I have herd stories about that Big Timber dog though, I have also herd he was one hell of a dog, but didn't reproduce worth a crap. That sucks when you have a real good dog and they dont reproduce any thing close to there abiltys. My Hobo dog was like that, the best dog I have ever owned and only reproduced a few dogs that were just OK.

Here is the link to White Hollow Idaho Clyde's Pedigree. Its off of the white hollow dog website. He has alot of cascade on his bottom. He is my silver dogs 6th grand sire.
