Here is an article to show you how to stop that from happening, There are two settings you'll want to change.

Buddy have you heard of any tt10 collars acting goofy? I have one collar that will show 200 or 300 yards off the road when the dog is right in front of the truck? At times it will lock on a spot? Eventually it will go back to normal but can be wacky for a good 2 or 3 hours?
Thanks Dave

The GPS can have bounce just like the telementry. It doesn't happend very often but it can make a collar have some GPS error.
I see this a couple times each year.
I would turn the collar off and back on to see if that corrects the issue. If it's happening more than a few times I would update the software and make sure that the software is up to date. If that doesn't fix it I think it will need to be replaced/Repaired.

Bruce,
Give the shop a call tomorrow, I'll be out of the office but Matt can walk you through the settings again to help get it fixed.
When it zooms out pay attension to the edge of the screen and see what and why it's zooming out. Normally there is a dog or contact at the edge of the screen that can give us a hint to what is causing it.
